2. LINKUP

LinkUP is a mutually enriching program of 1-to-1 friendship and support. At November 2009, Hotham Mission ASP had 25 actively-linked volunteers and 10 in training and awaiting assignment.

The LinkUp Program ASP works together with the ASRC, Red Cross ASAS and Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture on the LinkUp Volunteer program, as well as the Asylum Seeker Women's Group and Asylum Seeker Men's Group.

3. MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SUPPORT GROUPS

The Women's Group meets once a month and provides a great opportunity for our women to socialise and engage whilst having fun. This past 12 months has seen us visiting the National Gallery of Victoria, going to the movies with the children during school Holidays, learning to make beaded jewellery and during November we are visiting a Farm in Meredith, Victoria. The Women's Group is generously supported and funded by the Victorian Women's Trust.

The Men's group will recommence in February 2010.
